When we cook we want to use the very best nutritious and safe ingredients so we have to know our suppliers personally. We don't just look for organic Certification, we meet our suppliers face to face on their land. We see what they do, we learn how they think and make sure they share our belief that healthy nutritious whole food is good for people, good for society and good for the environment. We even make sure that liquids we use to wash the dishes in the restaurant are as safe and environmentally friends as we can find.

At Brown Rice Cafe we use fresh seasonal vegetables from all over Japan. Each supplier has their own special qualities but they all share a passion for real food and a respect for nature. Each supplier sends us information about their produce with their delivery. This information informs and inspires our chef and staff and transforms our recipes.
We enjoy searching for new ideas from cuisines around the world to enhance our recipes, which are based on traditional Japanese cooking. About Our Menu
Our menu is focused on three fundamental foods: vegetables, brown rice and soy. We try to find ways to capture the best qualities of each ingredient no matter how long it takes. Everything we offer is carefully prepared by hand. Our pickles, miso and dressings are all home made in our kitchen by our chefs who are dedicated to a Whole food way of life.
